Our produce

Discover the authentic flavors of Asia, grown right here in California's Central Valley. At TK Farm, we specialize in specialty vegetables that bring tradition and freshness to your table.

Authenticity from our fields to your kitchen

What makes TK Farm’s vegetables unique is their authenticity and speed from field to market. Unlike mass-produced imports that are harvested weeks early for long transport, our bitter melon, Thai chili, long bean, opo, and singua are grown from traditional Lao seed varieties and harvested at peak ripeness. This means superior flavor—spicier chilies, more tender long beans, and truly bitter melon—unavailable from industrial farms. We grow on just six acres across two Central Valley locations, allowing meticulous hand-harvesting and same-day delivery to wholesalers. No gimmicks: our vegetables taste exactly as they should because they are fresh, local, and grown with cultural knowledge, not shipping logistics.

Wholesale for businesses, fresh for everyone

TK Farm’s main customers are stores, restaurants, and distributors, not individual shoppers. As a producer and wholesaler, we sell primarily to Asian grocery chains, independent markets, and restaurant suppliers across California. Our volume and packaging are designed for commercial buyers who need consistent, reliable supplies of traditional Lao and Asian vegetables like bitter melon, long beans, and opo squash. That said, individuals seeking fresh Asian produce do access our vegetables indirectly—by shopping at stores that carry TK Farm products. While we occasionally supply farmers’ markets, our core business is wholesale. This focus allows us to move large quantities efficiently, ensuring that culturally important ingredients reach communities at scale, not just through small direct-to-consumer channels.

Where to find our specialty produce

Customers cannot visit TK Farm to purchase vegetables directly, as we do not operate a farm stand or public retail space. Instead, our vegetables are found exclusively through wholesale channels. The best way to buy TK Farm produce is to visit Asian grocery stores, independent markets, or restaurant suppliers across California that carry specialty Lao and Asian crops. We do not currently offer online ordering for individual consumers. If you are a store owner, distributor, or restaurant buyer interested in carrying our bitter melon, long beans, opo squash, or other Asian vegetables, you can contact TK Farm directly to establish a wholesale account. For home cooks, ask your local Asian market to stock produce from TK Farm—many retailers adjust their orders based on customer requests.

Tips and traditions from our farm

One of our favorite stories involves singua—angled luffa. In Laos, it’s never eaten tough or fibrous. The secret is harvesting when it’s just 6–8 inches long; at that size, the flesh is tender and sweet, perfect for a simple stir-fry with egg or a traditional Lao soup with lemongrass and wild pepper leaves. Our Lao crew jokes that if you can bend the singua without it snapping, it’s already too old—leave it for next year’s seed.

For bitter melon, the best ones are firm, bright green, and heavy for their size. A common Lao trick: rub the bumpy skin with salt before cooking to mellow the bitterness without losing that signature bite. And long beans? Snap one. A clean, sharp crack means fresh; a dull, stringy bend means it’s past its prime.
